Cardinal Cryptography’s team has grown by two extremely skilled software developers: Piotr Moczurad and Maciej Żelaszczyk. Their primary responsibility will be to work on further development of Aleph Zero.

Kicking 2022 off with a bang, we’re happy to communicate that the Cardinal Cryptography team has grown by two absolute rockstars.

Piotr Moczurad is a Krakow-based computer science expert. He obtained his B.Sc. from AGH University of Science and Technology followed by a Master’s degree. Immediately thereafter, Piotr started to pursue his Ph.D. in computer science at his alma mater. At the same time, Piotr has been actively developing his professional career: initially as a computer science teacher for International Baccalaureate exam students, then as an intern in Google, and then as a Haskell and C++ Developer at Flowbox. Furthermore, Piotr has been involved with Spring (now ShopRunner) and Luna. Most recently, he served as a Technical Director for Clientshare in London and as a Lead Developer at ucreate, a venture-building business that helped to launch 25 companies in the last five years. In addition to all of the above, Piotr is also an avid musician who plays contrabass. Piotr speaks fluent English.

Maciej Żelaszczyk — in addition to holding a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English — also speaks German. These are, however, only two of the many languages you’ll see him using on a daily basis. As a Bachelor and Master of Science at the Warsaw School of Economics, he worked on quantitative methods in economics and information systems before starting his Ph.D. in computer science at the Warsaw University of Technology. Professionally, Maciej has been involved with Citi Bank and engaged with Sunshine Profits, reaching the position of Senior Quantitive Analyst. Afterwards, Maciej joined DaftMobile where he designed and implemented predictive models and algorithms for matchmaking in online mobile games. Most recently, Maciej has been spending his time as Senior Data Scientist at Yosh.AI, a company creating personalised AI voice and text assistants, where he’s been researching recommendation systems with focus on deep learning.

Starting today, both Piotr and Maciej begin their work on Aleph Zero—a novel, a privacy-enhancing blockchain infrastructure for which Cardinal Cryptography provides core development.
